This painting is what started this series. It was an old abtract that I had done years ago, but was now feeling that it wasnt complete. A womans face began to emerge from it, and I followed my instincts. While still fond of the original painting, I loved the idea of this woman coming out from the background as if she were a part of it. I matched colors from the abtract and made droopy and even sloppy marks to indicate the curves and shadows of her face and hands.
